Join us on a journey of creativity and exploration! See and paint the Forts Palaces and People of Colourful Rajasthan. Hear the music, see the dancers, talk about the poetry and learn a little more how to interpret them in your own special way.
Non Painting partners are most welcome on the tour and they will find plenty of sightseeing opportunities in Rajasthan.

The Itinerary:

Day 1. Departure from Your Home Country

Your journey begins as you depart from your home country, excited for your adventure to India.

Day 2. Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, you’ll be transferred to the luxurious Taj Ambassador Hotel, where you’ll stay for three nights. In the afternoon, explore Old Delhi, visiting the grand Jama Masjid and the Gandhi Museum. For a unique experience, enjoy a heritage walk in Chandni Chowk, where you can indulge in local street food and immerse yourself in the vibrant market scenes.

Day 3. Delhi

Begin your day with a morning painting tour, visiting the Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb, both offering ample inspiration for your artwork. In the afternoon, participate in a miniature painting workshop, learning traditional techniques from local artisans. In the evening, attend a soul-stirring Sufi music recital (“Qawwali”) at the Shrine of Sufi Saint Hazrat Nizamuddin. For a memorable experience, join a traditional Rajasthani dinner with a local family, who will share stories about their culture.

Day 4. Delhi

Spend the day painting at iconic locations like India Gate and in the National Museum, exploring India’s rich cultural and historical treasures. For those interested, an optional visit to Agra to see the Taj Mahal offers another incredible opportunity to paint. In the evening, participate in a cooking class where you’ll learn to prepare traditional Indian dishes, followed by a dinner party with the chefs.

Day 5. Onboard Train to Jodhpur

The day is at leisure, allowing time for sightseeing or shopping in Delhi. In the evening, transfer to the railway station for your overnight train journey to Jodhpur in first-class air-conditioned sleeper. During the journey, enjoy a dinner featuring local delicacies and a live music performance, adding a special touch to the experience.

Day 6. Jodhpur

Upon arrival in the blue city of Jodhpur, you’ll be transferred to Ajit Bhawan Palace Hotel, where you’ll stay for four nights. After settling in, enjoy the afternoon exploring the magnificent 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort, an ideal spot for drawing and painting. For a unique experience, take a Tonga (horse-drawn carriage) ride back to the hotel, stopping to enjoy traditional snacks from local vendors.

Day 7. Jodhpur

In the morning, visit a Bishnoi village, where you’ll engage with the environmentally conscious tribe and capture the rural landscape through your artwork. Participate in a handicraft workshop, focusing on traditional crafts like block printing or pottery. In the evening, visit the vibrant Clock Tower Market, where you can shop for unique items and try local street food delicacies.

Day 8. Jodhpur

Explore the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum, where you can paint its exquisite architecture. In the evening, enjoy a rooftop dinner at Pal Ki Haveli, with stunning views of Mehrangarh Fort. To end the day, participate in a night photography workshop, learning to capture the beauty of Jodhpur under the stars.

Day 9. Jodhpur

The day is at leisure to relax or explore Jodhpur’s craft market. For a unique experience, join a cooking class focused on local Jodhpuri cuisine, followed by a community lunch with local families. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show showcasing Rajasthani music and dance.

Day 10. To Udaipur

After breakfast, depart for Ranakpur Jain Temples. Enjoy lunch amidst the stunning Aravali Hills, and take some time to paint the breathtaking surroundings. In the evening, continue your journey to Udaipur and check in at the Fatehgarh Palace, where you’ll stay for four nights. To end the day, enjoy a cultural performance at a local venue.

Day 11. Udaipur

Explore the stunning city of Udaipur, visiting the City Palace Museum, Bagore Ki Haveli, and the Gardens of the Maidens of Honour for plenty of painting opportunities. For a unique experience, join a photography workshop focusing on capturing the essence of Udaipur and its lakes. In the evening, participate in a Saree draping class or Turban tying workshop to learn more about local traditions.

Day 12. Udaipur

Spend the morning painting at the City Palace, capturing the intricate designs and architecture. After lunch, head to Saheliyon-ki-Bari (Garden of the Maidens) for more inspiration, surrounded by lotus pools and fountains. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on Lake Pichola, offering stunning views of the city and palaces. For a unique experience, participate in a traditional cooking session focused on Udaipur’s specialties, followed by a dinner feast.

Day 13. Udaipur

Enjoy the day at leisure to relax or explore Udaipur on your own. In the evening, savor a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, featuring traditional Rajasthani cuisine. For a special experience, enjoy a bonfire evening with local musicians performing traditional music and sharing stories.

Day 14. Departure

On your final day, transfer to the airport for your flight back to your home country, taking with you the memories of an unforgettable cultural and artistic journey through Rajasthan.
